The indoor golf season has started in Mantorville this fall. A golf simulator allows you to use your own clubs and real golf balls to experience the effect of an outdoor course. A golf simulator works by using a launch monitor to capture critical swing and ball data (like speed, spin, and launch angle) the instant you hit the ball. This data is immediately sent to the simulation software, which calculates the realistic ball flight based on physics algorithms and projects the visual outcome of your shot onto an impact screen or monitor. You can tee off and play as well as putt.
The Mantorville Saloon has converted the old VFW into a golf simulator room. The facility has a full bar and can serve pizza, burger baskets and cheese bread for events. They are planning winter golf leagues and currently will be scheduling golf on Wednesday and Thursday from 3pm to close. Call 507-635-5257 for a tee time. Byron Snow Drifters Bingo is the second and fourth Thursday of each month starting at 6:30pm at the Mantorville Saloon.
