Winter Break Fun at Triton High School

Posted

For the question, what did you do over winter break, most of us at Triton High School would say ¨sleep” or “hang out with family. ¨ To get more information, I interviewed Brandon Neseth, a teacher and our activities director, as well as Abrielle Emanuel, a sophomore at Triton High School.

When asked what his favorite tradition was over Christmas, Brandon Neseth said, ¨We go to Cabela's with our kids and see Santa, and then we go to McDonald's and get hot chocolate. After that, we drive around and look at Christmas lights. ¨ When asked if he misses teaching during the break, his response was, ¨yes, I do. I am happier when we are back in school because of the structure that teaching gives. It's nice to be back.”

I also asked Abrielle what a tradition she had over break, and her answer was, 'We make lefse from scratch at Grandma’s. ¨ Next, when asked what her favorite thing was over break, Abrielle stated, ¨hanging out with my cousins and making fun of our little cousins. ¨

Although many of us may have just said “sleep,” this proves that people do more over break and have fun (and miss teaching). We have another ¨break¨ coming up in April, GO COBRAS!
