Dodge County, MN – Building on the recent success of Dodge County community-led learning efforts, United Way of Southeast Minnesota is releasing four grants of $5,000 each.
These grants will support programs directly connected to the recommendations from community members outlined below:
• Housing: strengthen access to resources and financial support
• Healthcare: increase access to health services
• Transportation: investing in county-wide transportation infrastructure and supporting pathways for access to personal vehicles
• Community Resource Navigation: strengthen local knowledge, curation, navigation of resources, and assistance for applying for services
After a six-month community-led learning project in Dodge County, where community members identified gaps, challenges, and pressing needs in human services, these grants are an investment in the solutions that were identified. Findings were shared at a public share out in May 2025.
One grant will be awarded in each of the four recommendation areas. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations, or those with fiscal sponsorships, government entities, or school districts. Applicants must also provide free or low-cost services to low-income Dodge County residents who are part of the ALICE* population.
Applications are now open and close October 17, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
Links to the full report, recommendations, and application rubric can be found on the United Way website.
