The Triton Cobras Dance team held a fundraiser Saturday evening September 27th at the Dodge Center American Legion. Served, was a cheeseburger basket and fries and there were also horse races and meat raffles through the Legion bar. The fundraiser was to purchase new uniforms for the team and included a raffle.
The Triton Cobras Dance team is a Minnesota State High School League sponsored activity and has been active for over fifteen years. They are comprised of about twenty-five Triton girls in the seventh through twelfth grades. There are three teams, The Varsity Kick team, junior varsity kick team and junior varsity jazz team. They participate in up to eight competitions in south-east Minnesota culminating in the State Competition in early February.
Competitions include ten or more High School teams and the Triton Cobras Dance has placed at most competitions. The girls practice five days each week throughout the season. The 2025 season begins October 20th. Jamie Bodenstab has been the head coach for the Triton Cobras Dance team for the last nine years.
