Scarlett Suzanne Tanner, 32, passed away on December 30, 2024, following a tragic car accident. Scarlett was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, partner, and friend who touched the lives of many with her kindness, huge heart, determination, and unshakeable commitment to helping others.

Born on May 3, 1992, Scarlett was a devoted mother to her four children, who were the light of her life. She was fiercely proud of her family and worked tirelessly to provide them a better future. Scarlett dedicated the last six years of her life to Beauterre Recovery Institute as a Recovery Specialist, where she made a profound impact on the lives of those battling addiction.

Scarlett's passion for growth and healing inspired her to pursue her higher education, which resulted in a two-year degree in human services from Riverland Community and Technical College. She was in her last semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she would graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Alcohol and Drug Studies.

Scarlett's journey of recovery was a testament to her character, strength, and resilience. She overcame significant challenges to create a life filled with love, purpose, and compassion. She was actively working toward a career in drug and alcohol counseling, a path driven by her desire to empower others to overcome their struggles and find hope.

Scarlett cherished her family and friends deeply, finding joy in their shared memories and unwavering support. She also celebrated the milestone of achieving homeownership, a symbol of her hard work and perseverance. Scarlett's generosity and love extended far beyond her immediate circle, she was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Scarlett will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, radiant smile, and her unwavering belief in the possibility of change.

Scarlett's light will forever shine in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will remain a source of strength and inspiration.

Scarlett is survived by her fiance Tracy Garner, and her children Bayleigh, Rylee, Cayden, Emersyn, and Sarah (Kye), and her parents Robert and Stacy Tanner, and Shannon and Tom Rhodes. She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses: Hunter Nuhibian (Jacobe), Kailyn Tanner, and Elliot Tanner, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and an extensive amount of friends and other family members.

She is preceded in death by her Grandparents Elida Tanner, Jeanie (Papa) & Jack (Dak) McCuller, and several other family members and friends who will welcome her into eternity.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th, from 4-7 PM, and the Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 10th, at 2 PM, with visitation one hour prior. Both services will be held at New Life Community Church at 160 28th St NE, Owatonna, MN 55060.
