MTC’s Fall mystery is Scotland Road by Jeffery Hatcher and directed by Cheryl Frarck. The show runs October 10-26; Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm. The shows are held at the Mantorville Opera House: 5 5th St. West, Mantorville, MN.
About the show: Scotland Road* is about a woman, Winifred, who is found floating on an iceberg wearing 19th century clothing. When rescued, the only word she utters is “Titanic”.
Could she be an authentic survivor? Winifred is taken to Maine for an interrogation. A mysterious man named John seeks to debunk her story. Finally, the last living survivor from the Titanic, a reclusive old woman named Frances Kittle, is brought forth to test her.
*The Crew Alleyway (or Scotland Road) was a long corridor that spanned the entire length of the ship on the port side of E Deck of the Titanic. It was used by crew members and third-class passengers to quickly move between the ends of the ship.
About the cast and crew: Allison Rautmann is appearing as Winifred with Drew Adams portraying John. Frances Kittle is played by Kristin Sellentine. Lynne Drumm is appearing as the doctor. Our show couldn't go on without the help of Ingvild Herfindahl (costumer), Ed Boos (lights and sound), Becci Miller (orderly), and Karl Huppler, Dan Roth, & Bob Andrist (set builders).
